There are different methods that you can use to build a list with one of the most common being to put an optin box on your website and offer your visitors a free gift for subscribing.
This is a good method and you should use it but one method of capturing subscribers that many Internet Marketers are now using is to build a squeeze page specifically for capturing your visitors.
A squeeze page is a page that is for no other reason than to entice your visitors to sign up to your list. You can do this by offering them some valuable information, gift or anything free in exchange for signing up to your subscriber list.
You can create your squeeze page so that it is a 'semi' sales page which you will use to 'sell' the free gift that you are offering so that your visitors won't be able to say no.
How to drive traffic to your squeeze page?
Write articles and submit them to article directories with high page ranking and mention your free giveaway in the resource box and you will have plenty of visitors coming your way.
It is also useful to visit forums relating to your free gift and have the link to your squeeze page in your signature.
When your subscriber list starts to grow you will have an immediate customer base to promote products to in the future. You can earn a lot more in income through sales when you have a good list to sell to. It is important to build up a good relationship with your subscribers and don't come across as a 'spammer'.
Gain their trust and they will be more than happy to purchase the products that you will recommend to them.
